    PRODUCT:

Control-M/Server for UNIX and Microsoft Windows

    COMPONENT:

Control-M/Server for UNIX and Microsoft Windows

    APPLIES TO:

    Control-M/Server 9.0.00 ; Unix / Linux ; Windows

    PROBLEM:

After upgrading Control-M/Server from version 7.0.00 or 8.0.00 to version 9.0.00, the OUTGOING_ADDR system parameter copied by the upgrade toolkit is not honored by Control-M/Server.
This can cause communication problems to some Control-M/Agent hosts.

    CAUSE:

CAR00136336 - OUTGOING_ADDR parameter is copied to config.dat during migration instead of local_config.dat

    SOLUTION:

In Control-M/Server 9.0.00 the OUTGOING_ADDR parameter was moved to the local_config.dat file.

To have the Control-M/Server honor this parameter copy the OUTGOING_ADDR parameter and the value from the [Server Home]/ctm_server/data/config.dat file to the [Server Home]/ctm_server/data/local_config.dat file.
Then stop and restart the Control-M/Server processes.
