Caught Exception when opening a Data Dictionary menu from Midtier 1805 against a pre-1805 AR Server

    PROBLEM:

    If you have an 1805 Mid-Tier and try to open a Data Dictionary menu against a character field existing on a pre-1805 AR server, MidTier will throw a caught exception similar to this (will vary slightly by browser type):

    CAUSE:

    Defect SW00550447


    SOLUTION:

    The fix is in the Java API.  There’s a hotfix in the works, defect SW00550447 (18.08)  and SW00550529 (18.05).  
    This is fixed in 18.08 and hotfixes for 18.05 dated after 08/24/2018
