How to Rebuild the "Track-It! Infrastructure Service" in Track-It! 2018 R3 and above

    QUESTION:

    How do I Rebuild or Install  the "Track-It! Infrastructure Service" in Track-It! 2018 R3?


    ANSWER:

    After installing Track-It! 2018 R3 build 20.18.03.122 or upgrading to 20.18.03.122, the Track-It! Infrastructure Service does not show under the Windows Services on the Track-It! Application Server.

    Please follow the below mentioned steps to Rebuild the "Track-It! Infrastructure Service":

    1) Open Command Prompt with Administrator Rights on the Track-It Server.
    2) Navigate through Command Prompt to the following directory:

    “C:\Program Files (x86)\BMC\Track-It!\ServiceManagement.Host” (OR a similar directory according to your environment)

    3) Run the following command:

    TrackIt.Executables.ServiceManagement.Host.exe Install

    Once the above Command completes execution, go into the Services Snap-In and Start the "Track-It! Infrastructure Service" manually.
