    QUESTION:

Whenever I stop my BMC Atrium Orchestrator / TrueSight Orchestration Activity Peer on Windows, I see this error in the logs:

    01 Jan 2018 01:01:01,001 [Thread=AMP - Cassandra DB Stop - 1] ERROR OSUtils Error executing file powershell Set-ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted
java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "powershell" (in directory "C:\Program Files\BMC Software\BAO\AP\cassandra\bin"): CreateProcess error=267, The directory name is invalid
    01 Jan 2018 01:01:01,001 [Thread=AMP - Cassandra DB Stop - 1] ERROR OSUtils Error executing file C:\Program Files\BMC Software\BAO\AP\cassandra\bin\stop-server.bat -p ..\pid.txt -f
java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "C:\Program" (in directory "C:\Program Files\BMC Software\BAO\AP\cassandra\bin"): CreateProcess error=267, The directory name is invalid

Does this indicate a problem? How can I prevent it?

    ANSWER:

The Activity Peer's shutdown process incorrectly attempts to stop a local Cassandra instance. Activity Peers do not have Cassandra databases, so the peer writes this error. This does not indicate a problem and it affects only the logging during shutdown. You can safely ignore this error.

BMC is targeting a solution for a future release.
