Remedy Smart Reporting - How to increase the row limit

    PROBLEM:

    How to increase the rowlimit returned by reports in Smart Reporting?


    CAUSE:

    Default AR Row Limit Will be return by the application


    SOLUTION:

    1. Login with Smart Reporting Admin into client organization (from Remedy ITSM Application Menu flyout)
    2. Go Admin console
    3. Go To Data Source --> ARSystem
    4. Connection Settings
    5. Custom Parameter
    6. At the end of custom parameter add rowLimit ="Limit" Parameter
    For example

    User-added image

    Before:
    refreshCache=10;DateTimeFormat=MM/dd/yyyy HH:mm:ss a;DateFormat=yyyy-MM-dd

    After:
    refreshCache=10;DateTimeFormat=MM/dd/yyyy HH:mm:ss a;DateFormat=yyyy-MM-dd;rowLimit=100000;

    7. Test Datasource and Save

    Run any report to validate rowLimit.

    Please note : We cannot make rowLimit unlimited, there should be some limit that we need to define in Smart Reporting. Increasing AR GetMaxList Row Limit will also help in this case but it might cause performance issues so increasing rowLimit from Data Source will be the optimal solution.
