    PRODUCT:

Borland Silk Performer Synthetic Transaction Monitoring

    COMPONENT:

    BMC Synthetic Transaction Execution Adapter

    APPLIES TO:

Silk Performer 17.5 and Silk Performer 18.0

    PROBLEM:

This could be caused by a few things:
    1.  Silk Performer 17.5 uses a new file compressed file format.  This may cause memory leaks when the TEA Agent uncompresses the files.
    2.  There is a memory leak in the BrowserStop function

    SOLUTION:

This could be caused by a few things:

    1.  Scripts that are recorded with Silk Performer 17.5 have memory leaks when run on the Synthetic TEA Agent.
Silk Performer 17.5 uses a new compressed file format.  This may cause memory leaks when the TEA Agent uncompresses the files.
As a workaround for this issue, modify the ltp before uploading it to TrueSight Presentation Server, so that the old Truelog format is used. Below are instructions on how to do this:
    a.  Close the project in Silk Performer
    b.  Open the .ltp in an editor, such as Notepad, and set the PackagedTruelogFormat property to false.
    c.  Save the file and upload the project to TrueSight.
This issue is resolved in Silk Performer 18 HF2 and Silk Performer 18.5

    2.  There is a memory leak in the BrowserStop function
This is resolved in  Silk Performer 17.5 HF 5
