    AR System

    APPLIES TO:

    Remedy AR System Flashboards v.18.05

    PROBLEM:

After upgrading from AR system v.9.1.02 to v.18.05, the Flashboard Services fail to start on secondary AR Server in Server Group.
    The
stdout.log file does not show any entries.
    The
stderr.log file shows the following error:
    .................
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
    com/remedy/arsys/fbserver/flash/server/Server Caused by:
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.remedy.arsys.fbserver.flash.server.Server
    at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source)
    at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)
    at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)
    at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)
    .................

    CAUSE:

    Corrupted arflashd.exe file.

    SOLUTION:

Check in the directory ....\BMC Software\ARSystem\flashboards the arflashd.exe file size.
    The original size should be
    84kb.

If the file needs to be replaced, extract it from the installer, obtain it from a working AR Server or get the one attached in the zip file.

Once the Flashboards Services start the
stdout.log file should show the below message:
    .............
