Available Network Container Blueprints are not shown in Cloud Administration Console

    QUESTION:

    When trying to import Network Container Blueprints after creating a new Network Pod or re-provisioning an existing Network Pod, the list of available Network Container Blueprints are not being displayed in the Cloud Administration Console and 0 entries returned

    For example,

    ANSWER:

    To determine why no Network Container Blueprints are being displayed or returned in the import Window, run the BladeLogic Network Automation tool to verify if the newly created Network Container Blueprint is compatible with your Network Pod.

    To verify if your Network Container Blueprint is compatible, do the following:

       
    1. Locate your the BladeLogic Network Automation tool (bcan-pcm-utility) in this default location: %BCAN_INSTALL_DIR%/BCA-Networks/public/bmc/bca-networks/extras/bcan-pcm-utility-8.7.00.zip on your BladeLogic Network Automation Server.
    2.  
    3. unzip this bcan-pcm-utility-8.7.00.zip to your target directory.
    4.  
    5. Run the following cmd from your extracted target directory on step#2:
      
      /bin/container-util.bat -url https://BNA_Server:11443   -user sysadmin -password <sysadmin_password> -operation describe_incompatibility  -podName <NetworkPodName> -containerBlueprintName <ContainerBlueprintName> –v 
      
    The above tool will tell if your Network Container Blueprint is compatible with your Network Pod and what is the reason of the incompatibility if any.
