    PROBLEM:

    Problem Summary: Below error appears while creating CI record via Asset console
    "The specified plug-in does not exist. BMC.FILTERAPI.NORM.ENGINE (ARERR 8755) "


    SOLUTION:

     

    Step 1) Verify that plugin 'BMC.FILTERAPI.NORM.ENGINE'  definition is available under 'ne' pluginsvr config file.
    ( Sample Path : C:\Program Files\BMC Software\AtriumCore\cmdb\plugins\ne)

    Below specific settings are valid for cmdb Version 1805. Kindly refer to specific version to ensure jar file versions are correct.

    Server-Plugin-Alias: BMC.FILTERAPI.NORM.ENGINE BMC.FILTERAPI.NORM.ENGINE $AR Server Name $:9555

    * $Customer Server Name $ = For this space in above line please replace the naming as per customer's Server-Plugin-Alias entries for other plugin.

    Note, In case of server group, step 2, will have individual ARServer name in each ar.conf file.
