    DETAILS:

    Pentaho Data Integration has a bug when you are trying to connect to Salesforce behind a proxy:
    It is affecting versions: 6.1.0.14 GA, 7.0.0 GA, 7.1.0 GA

    Error:
    Error occured during initialization
    Error connecting to Salesforce!


    The bug has been fixed on Pentaho 8.1 the current solution is to use 8.1
