    How to add an AR Server License into Remedy using the Driver tool.


    ANSWER:

    To add an AR Server License into Remedy using the Driver tool, follow these steps:

    Note: Make sure the information entered following these steps is accurate, otherwise it may create discrepancies and unwanted incorrect records in the main Add or Remove Licenses form.

    1- Open the Driver tool.
          ARS 19.02.x - Using the driver program
          ARS 18.08.x - Using the driver program
          ARS 18.05.x - Using the driver program
          ARS 9.1.x - Using the driver program

    2- Follow these steps:

    Command: init
    INITIALIZATION

       ARInitialization  results
    ReturnCode:  OK
    Status List : 0 items


    --- The following step is only to be done if ARS is configured to use a specific AR TCP port. If the Portmapper is used then this step can be skipped --- 
    Command: ssp
    SET SERVER PORT
    The port number of server (0): 
    <AR Port>
    Using private socket? (0): <RPC Socket if used, otherwise press enter>

       ARSetServerPort  results
    ReturnCode:  OK
    Status List : 0 items

    Command: log

    Expire Month (January-December, 0-11): (0)<enter the required value only if  it is a Temporary License, otherwise just press Enter>
    Expire Day (1-31): (1)<enter the required value only if  it is a Temporary License, otherwise just press Enter>
    Expire Year (yyyy): (1970)<enter the required value only if  it is a Temporary License, otherwise just press Enter>
    Site Name: <Enter your Site name>
    Host ID:<Enter the Host ID of the server where ARS is installed>
    Number of Licenses: (1)1
    Token List: <press Enter>
    Comment: <press Enter>

       ARCreateLicense  results
    ReturnCode:  OK
    Status List : 0 items

    (at this point the AR Server has been added into Remedy and the Driver tool can be closed).

    3- Restart the ARS application.


    Additional steps:
    4- If you want to list the current available AR Server License in Remedy use the following command:

    Command: gll
    GET LIST LICENSE

    4- If you want to validate the current AR Server License use the following command:
