    QUESTION:

After discussion with BMC Technical Support, I have determined that participating in the AMIGO program will suit my upgrade.

What is the first step I must follow to get the upgrade underway?

    ANSWER:

The first step in an AMIGO upgrade is to get a Sizing.  Having a proper sizing of the TSCO environment addresses future growth and significantly reduces concerns about exceeding resources years down the road.

To begin a Sizing, please provide the following 2 items uploaded to your AMIGO: Starter case:

    1)    Sizing report (XLS format needed): To generate the report: first, check to see if you have the report defined in the standard location:    Workspace -> Administrative Domains -> Self-monitoring -> Works -> Diagnostic Report - Sizing Report.  If there, simply open the report, run it, and provide a copy of the output in    XLS format.

In    TSCO 10.7.01, the report is seen as 'Workspace -> Administrative Domains -> Self-monitoring -> Works ->  Diagnostic - Sizing and Data Flow Estimation report ' .

(If the report is not defined, review the following KA to define it:    https://bmcsites.force.com/casemgmt/sc_KnowledgeArticle?sfdcid=000106670)

    2)    DataFlow Report (PDF format needed):  To generate the report: first, check to see if you have the report defined in the standard location:    Workspace -> Administrative Domains -> Self-monitoring -> Works -> Diagnostic Report - Data Flow & Statistics If there, simply open the report, run it, and provide a copy of the output in    PDF format.

(If the report is not defined, review the following KA to define it:    https://bmcsites.force.com/casemgmt/sc_KnowledgeArticle?sfdcid=000025194

Additionally, please consider the following special considerations where additional documentation is needed

      3)    Sizing questionnaire: If the environment is significantly changing from existing conditions, it would be vital to also provide a    completed sizing questionnaire to account for increases in usage (increased number of entities, addition of servers required, etc).  For this, please also complete the following sizing questionnaire:     https://bmcsites.force.com/casemgmt/servlet/fileField?entityId=ka214000000h59BAAQ&field=sc_Attachments__Body__s

    4)    Oracle AWR or Postgres POWA (optional):  Database growth and performance are an essential part of the function of TSCO.  Proactively providing an AWR or POWA may expedite the creation of the sizing needed for your implementation.
