    Connection to the data server failed. The IBM Data Server for JDBC and SQLJ license was invalid or was not activated for the DB2 for z/OS subsystem. If you are connecting directly to the data server and using DB2 Connect Unlimited Edition for System z, perform the activation step by running the activation program in the license activation kit. If you are using any other edition of DB2 Connect, obtain the license file, db2jcc_license_cisuz.jar, from the license activation kit, and follow the installation directions to include the license file in the class path. CAUSE:

    CAR00061888 - DB2 connection fail to connect to server on z/OS machine AS400 DB2 is expecting a connection from valid JDBC licence which is not provided on Control-M for Databases 9.0.00 by default.

    SOLUTION:

    As mentioned on the error returned, the AS400 DB2 is expecting a connection from a valid JDBC licence which is not provided by default on Control-M for Databases 9.0.00. This license file will need to be downloaded from IBM or vendor.

    Once the licence file is obtained, please executes the following steps to register the license file and resolve the error:

    1) Download "db2jcc_license_cisuz.jar" from IBM or vendor websites.
    2) Add it to 'DB2' directory (directory with jdbc jar, eg: /ctm_agent/ctm/cm/DB/JDBCDrivers/db2/10)
    3) In "/ctm_agent/ctm/cm/DB/data/DriverList.xml", add path to "db2jcc_license_cisuz.jar" in db2 <Jars> section

    eg:

    <DriverJars>
    <Jar>db2/10/db2jcc4.jar</Jar>
    <Jar>db2/10/db2jcc_license_cisuz.jar</Jar>
    </DriverJars>
