WMI Queries Fail with Invalid class when retrieving Virtual Machines from Hyper-V servers

    PROBLEM:

     

    Per the documentation link below, the pattern in question executes three queries against the root\virtualization\v2 namespace pertaining to Microsoft Windows Server 2012, however BMC Discovery is unable to execute the following query:

      

    SELECT * FROM Msvm_VirtualSystemGlobalSettingData WHERE InstanceID = 'Microsoft:<vm_uuid>\\Global

      

    In some instances it appears that this class is non-existent.

    SOLUTION:

    This will be fixed in the June or July 2018 TKU release.
