    QUESTION:

How-to uninstall an application with BCM?

    ANSWER:

You will have to either know the uninstall command from the manufacturer or the msi product id code if the application was installed from an MSI.

1- Uninstall an MSI with the dedicated step:
    - identify the product id for this application
    - create an OR and add the step "Uninstall MSI package"
    - set the product id in the step
    - assign the Operational Rule to a device on which the application is installed

2- Uninstall from the command line:
You will have to find the command line that allows to uninstall the application. You can get it from the manufacturer or check for it on itninja.
    - identify the command line
    - test it manually on a device - don't go through the next steps if this doesn't work
    - create an operational rule
    - add the step "Execute program" and set the command line you validated in the previous steps to it
    - assign the Operational Rule to a device on which the application is installed

Note: the uninstall might require to deploy an uninstaller or the source files from the application. Check thi KA for a little help on package deployment if you need: A quick guide to start deploying applications on windows
