    DETAILS:

What is Modify Key and how is it generated?

A Modify Key is an encrypted key that the Email Engine generates and sends out if an email template has "Action:Modify" in the body. When the end user replies back to Email Engine, the Modify Key is decrypted to validate the user has permission to modify the record on the form as specified in the template.

The Modify Key is not a value stored somewhere that can be retrieved. It is dynamically created by the Email Engine as needed. It is a hashed value based on certain data in each email specifically and then encrypted using a proprietary encryption algorithm.
