Remedy AR System Server
ARSystem 9.1.04 patch 2
Getting error during deployment of 9.1.02 Patch 2:
Error: ARMigratePlugin: DeployPackageInit failure FileNotFoundException with package! /opt/bmc/ars/arsystem/db/BMC_DEPLOYMENT_PACKAGES/arsARS_9.1.04-P201802172235master180217/_validateItems.md5 (No such file or directory)
Check the arjavaplugin.log for specific information on the problem.
In one case, the arjavaplugin.log showed an Out Of Heap Space error.
We Increased the max heap size for the main Java plugin server to 2 GB
For example, on Windows, set the following line in armonitor.cfg
"%BMC_JAVA_HOME%\java" -Xmx2048m -classpath "C:\Program Files\BMC Software\ARSystem\pluginsvr;C:\Program Files\BMC Software\ARSystem\pluginsvr\arpluginsvr91_build003.jar;C:\Program Files\BMC Software\ARSystem\arserver\api\lib\arcmnapp91_build003.jar" com.bmc.arsys.pluginsvr.ARPluginServerMain -x remedyprod -i "C:\Program Files\BMC Software\ARSystem" -m
You need to restart ARServer for this to take effect
On another case with the exact same error, we saw a different problem in the arjavaplugin.log
In this case, we had to enable SQL logging, perform the operation again, identify the table that was being updated, and increase the Extents so that it could be increased. This required a DBA to get involved
