    APPLIES TO:

    Next Generation Technology Reorg v12.1

    QUESTION:

Why is NGT reorg processing the LOB tablespace when +LOB(NO) is specified in the job?

    ANSWER:

The DSNUTILB default setting was changed in the v12.1 release. NGT v12.1 ships with DSNUTILB(), which defaults to YES. In v11.2, that default was DSNUTILB(NO). So even with +LOB(NO), NGT passes the LOB to DSNUTILB for processing.

Changing the global parm DSNUTILB to (NO) will revert to v11.2 behavior and LOB tablespaces will not be processed.
