    QUESTION:

How does TrueSight Presentation Server (TSPS) pulls the application data from the App Visibility Portal and App Visibility Collector?

    ANSWER:

TSPS will query the App Visibility Portal via API and the App Visibility Portal will query all of its App Visibility Collectors and return the results.  The App Visibility Portal aggregate all the data in one and sends it back to the TSPS.
For example, TSPS is requesting the book transaction and the App Visibility Portal will get the data.

Every 5 minutes, the App Visibility Portal will query the App Visibility Collector(s) to get the “light” data so it can get it ready for the Application View a user logs into TSPS and look at the Application View.  The App Visibility Portal will aggregate the data and store the App Visibility Portal database (only used for TSPS Application View).  See below:

App Visibility Portal will query the App Visibility Collectors (every 5 minutes) for the following reasons:

    1. Application View data
    2.
    3. Event Management data (open/close events)
    4.
    5. Application models
