    PROBLEM:

     

    - Newly installed Control-M Module on Control-M/Agent is not detected by Control-M/Server ctmgetcm command
    - The newly installed Control-M Module is not discovered on the Control-M Configuration Manager (CCM)
     

     


    CAUSE:

    The newly installed Control-M Module is not registered on the Windows Registry or installed to another Control-M/Agent on the same machine


    SOLUTION:

    - This solution can be applied on both standalone or clustered Windows environment/
    - Following are the solution:

    1. The newly installed Control-M Module is not registered on the Windows Registry
    - Verify if the newly installed Control-M Module on the Control-M/Agent is registered under
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BMC Software\Control-M/Agent\CONFIG
      Key: CM-LIST and CM_LIST_SENT2CTMS
    - If not, edit the key to include the newly installed Control-M Module as below:
      For example, if Control-M for Databases is newly installed:
      From:
      WIN|PS8|FILE_TRANS
      TO:
      WIN|PS8|FILE_TRANS|DATABASE

    2. The newly installed Control-M Module installed to another Control-M/Agent on the same machine
    - Verify if the newly installed Control-M Module is installed to the correct Control-M/Agent on the machine
    - Check if the Control-M Module information is added to the <Control-M/Agent Home>/installed_versions.txt file

    Additional Information:
    - When performing the installation of the Control-M Module on Control-M/Agent running on Clustered Windows, do ensure that the cluster resources must be up, otherwise the CMLIST and CM_LIST_SENT2CTMS will not get updated
