    How can I allow users to pass a value to a variable when they order the job through BMC Control-M/Self Service?

    ANSWER:

    In order to be able to do so, you need to define the Service as Orderable. When you define the Service as orderable, then you would have the option of adding the Orderable Parameters for the Service. Please note that in order to be able to add a parameter to the orderable service, the parameter will have to be defined as a Variable in the job scheduling definition (General tab).
