In Patrol for Internet Server Manager, where does the KM look for the certificate and how the does the KM get the details of the certificate and populate CertDaysLeft parameter?

    QUESTION:

    The certDaysLeft parameter is in alarm. Where does the Patrol for Internet Server Manager km look for the certificate and how the does the km get the details of the certificate and populate CertDaysLeft parameter?


    ANSWER:

    If the KM has client certificate then we look for the client certificate in the INET.kdb in order to connect to the website. 
    If we are able to connect, we get the certificate from the website since it needs to identify itself. 
    This certificate is encrypted and we then decrypt it since those certificates are using public keys. 
    From there we extract the data we display in Patrol Console/TSPS/Operations Console depending on which tool is used.
