Undefined error popup in self-service after Track-It! 2018 data migration

    PROBLEM:

    After data migration the customer may experience an "undefined" error popup after logging into self service. After closing the error popup they may get redirected back to the login screen.


    CAUSE:

    A large number of Categories were marked as 'visible' in Self Service, during an import from version 11.4 using the migration tool.


    SOLUTION:

    A DLL hotfix has been provided to resolve the issue

       
    1. Download the zip file attached at the bottom of this article, then extract the DLL inside.
    2.  
    3. Backup the original DLL and place the new extracted DLL into the following path in your Track-It! installation:
      
      C:\Program Files (x86)\BMC\Track-It!\SelfService\bin  
    (default installation path - yours may vary)
