    PROBLEM:

     

    A Deploy Job fails with an error like:

      
    "There was a problem resolving the soft links in the package: java.io.IOException: JNI file copy from '//PatchRepoServer/path/to/patchName.msu' to '//TargetServer/temp/stage/../73454.1/patchName.msu' failed: : No such file or directory"
       


     

     


    CAUSE:

    There is an issue accessing either the Source (Patch Repository) or Target (Target Server) location.


    SOLUTION:

    There is an issue accessing either the Source (Patch Repository) or Target (Target Server) location. The below steps can be used to narrow the problem down.
    Ensure the RSCD is running on the Patch repository server and the target system
    Check if the Source directory on the Patch Repository Server exists and the source patch file is present and can be accessed by the user:role running the job.
    For further troubleshooting re-run the deploy job and gather the rscd log from the patch repository server, the target agent and the appserver logs.
