    PRODUCT:

    COMPONENT:

    PATROL for Microsoft Windows Servers

    PROBLEM:

With Windows Remote monitoring, if the "BMC-KM000002E:Access is Denied" message is received, the connection will not reconnect until the remote node configuration is removed / re-added.

    SOLUTION:

    Legacy ID:KA433284

If using a domain account, this problem has been resolved in defect:

Defect QM001827913 with description "Patrol for Windows Remote Monitoring v4.5.00.01 fails to reconnect to WinRM listener following connection disruption"

The above defect was resolved in PATROL Knowledge Module for Windows 4.8.00

However, if using a local account, it will not reconnect. This was in case the connection problem was due to an authentication failure and we did not want to lock the local account out.

The following defect has been raised to allow a means of manually reconnecting, possibly through menu command:

Defect QM001890337 with description "A Windows Agent will not reconnect to a remote node after receiving the message "BMC-KM000002E:Access is Denied" if using a local account"

This defect will be resolved in a future release.
