TrueSight/Hardware Sentry  KM: How to set up the monitoring of an HP Blade Chassis

    With the Sentry Hardware KM, you can monitor an HP Blade Chassis in TrueSight Operations Mgmt |TrueSight Infrastructure Mgmt using SSH or SNMP as protocols as shown below:

    In TrueSight, set up your policy as follows:

    Select Hardware as Monitoring Solution:

    Add a new device and select "Management Card/Chip, Blade Chassis, ESXi" as Device Type.

    Depending on the protocol you would like to use:

     

    SNMP: enter a valid SNMP community string (for v1/v2c) or username/password for v3:

    Scroll down to the "Device Advanced Settings" section and specify this Connector File Name: MS_HW_HPBladeSystem.hdf

    Note: this is the snmp-based one.

    Or if you decide to use the SSH protocol, then enter a valid SSH account:

    Scroll down to the "Device Advanced Settings" section and specify this Connector File Name: MS_HW_HPBladeTelnet.hdf

    Wait a few mins and check out the newly created device in the TSPS Devices view:
