    PRODUCT:

    BladeLogic Server Automation Suite

    PROBLEM:

When trying to install the BMC Patrol agent using BMC BladeLogic Server Automation (BSA.) the following error is returned:

"Unable to check if this silent install package can be used for the current host"

The same silent install commands also fail with the same error from the command line outside of BSA:

C:\tmp\image\install.exe -install C:\tmp\image\install.ctl error " Unable to check if this silent install package can be used for the current host "

    CAUSE:

Need to adjust the format of the commands to first cd to the directory containing the ctl file

    SOLUTION:

For this command to work, we first need to cd to the directory rather than calling it from a different directory using absolute paths i.e.

    cd C:\tmp\image
    install.exe -install install.ctl
