    How to Reduce the Length/Amount of Text in the Incident Description in a Remedyforce Email Notification


    ANSWER:

    This can be done using a Visualforce Email template add the following to the Visualforce email template.

    To return the first 250 characters of the Incident Description:
    Change From:

    {!relatedto.BMCServiceDesk__incidentDescription__c}

    Change To:
    {!LEFT((relatedto.BMCServiceDesk__incidentDescription__c),250)}
