All Jobs failed to submit, error message found in Control-M/Agent Daily Log: "FAILED TO SUBMIT. Error:"

    PROBLEM:

    All Jobs failed to submit, error message found in Control-M/Agent Daily Log: "FAILED TO SUBMIT. Error:"
     

    The Control-M Agent ctmas* logs may contain messages similar to the following:

       0920 09:50:05:387 AS:OS_COMM_sess_read_all: error=A non-blocking socket operation could not be completed immediately., nread=-1, fd=1432 
    0920 09:50:05:387 AS:entering select with timeout of 780 seconds 
    0920 10:03:05:397 AS:OS_COMM_sess_read_all : select returned 0 
    0920 10:03:05:397 AS:OS_COMM_sess_read_all: select timeout. 
    0920 10:03:05:397 AS:BE_serializeAttributesAndSendRecieveToFromAM: Failed to receive AM confirmation on job submit 
    0920 10:03:05:397 AS:IOAAPI_utils_release_at 


    0920 10:03:05:428 AS:OS_COMM_sess_write: send failed : nc = -1, error = 10053 
    0920 10:03:05:428 AS:OS_COMM_sess_write: error=(10053)An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine. 
    0920 10:03:05:428 AS:OS_COMM_sess_write, write error: 10053 
    0920 10:03:05:428 AS:Send message failed.

    The Antivirus software on the Agent platform excludes the Control-M Agent installation directory and the Control-M Agent processes.

     


    CAUSE:

    CAR00133518 CTM Agent Windows - Failed to submit error in AS although AM sends confirmation, when jobs finished immediately


    SOLUTION:

    This behavior can be observed when there is a lack of resources on the windows machine.( CPU / RAM)

    If this is a virtual machine, it can be usefull to  understand how the resources of the virtual machine is allocated.
    Please consult your Windows team to verify how much RAM is allocated , and if the CPU allocated is from a shared pool ( so dynamic )
    or from an exclusive reservation.
