SSH fails from the Control-M/Agent using SHA-2 to a remote host: ERROR: Couldn't agree a key exchange algorithm

    PROBLEM:

    SSH fails from the Control-M/Agent using SHA-2 to a remote host.
    The ctm_diag_comm utility directed at the remote host produces the following error:
    ERROR: Couldn't agree a key exchange algorithm
     


    CAUSE:

    CAR00118299: Control-M/Agent does not support SHA-2 MACs: hmac-sha2-512,hmac-sha2-256


    SOLUTION:

    This will be addressed in the Corrective Action Request: CAR00118299
    As an alternate solution an Agent can be installed on the Remote Host, or on the remote host SSH configuration allow the use of hmac-sha1.
