What steps do I follow when the BMC BladeLogic Server Automation (BSA) Database has been moved to a new server?

Applies To: BMC BladeLogic Server Automation Suite 8.x

    ANSWER:

See the following section of the BSA documentation:

    https://docs.bmc.com/docs/display/public/bsa89/Moving+or+duplicating+a+BMC+Server+Automation+environment

When only the database has been moved, the steps to perform from the above link are listed under:

    1) The "Moving the Database" section.
    2) Step 4b (only) of the "Using the Application Server(s) in the new environment" section:

    1. Using the blasadmin utility, configure the Database section parameters noted below.  These settings will be for the new database server.
blasadmin -a set database ConnectionString <ConnectionString>
blasadmin -a set database DriverClass <DriverClass>
blasadmin -a set database UserId <user_name>
blasadmin -a set database Password <Password>
