When consuming a webservice , if that webservice returns multiple entries, can remedy create one record per entry returned

    QUESTION:

    What is the structure and mapping required to retrieve multiple records from a webservice and then create one entry per record returned on remedy? 


    ANSWER:

    This can only be achieved by using complex webservices

    A complex webservice as explained in documentation has a parent child relationship including foreign keys and distinguish keys

    With this type of structure, when retrieving multiple records the webservice should return
    1. A single parent record (WS:Test1 on the screenshot)
    2. Multiple child records (WS:Test2 on the screenshot)

    Then the Mapping on developer studio should be 

    Output mapping create multiple records
