Have you heard of the latest viral Internet video trend called The Mannequin Challenge? In case you haven't, the video challenge records a group of people frozen in place like mannequins. The Internet still isn't sure who really started the phenomenon but most of the credit has gone to a group of students in Jacksonville, Florida. The growing Internet trend has gained participation from a number of public figures, including professional athletes, bands, celebrities, and even politicians. You can see Mannequin Challenge videos all over social media sites like Twitter and Instagram.

So naturally, BMC couldn't pass up the opportunity to attempt our very own version of the Mannequin Challenge. Before the 2016 AWS Re:Invent Conference kicked off yesterday in Las Vegas, we gathered up our booth staff and recorded our very own version of the Mannequin Challenge. Check it out here: Mannequin Challenge @ AWS re: Invent 2016 | BMC Software - YouTube

So, how'd we do? If you are at the 2016 AWS Re:Invent Conference stop by booth 2344 and tell us how we compare to the other Mannequin Challenge videos across the internet. Do you have a favorite challenge video or have you attempted the Mannequin challenge yourself? Leave a comment with a link to your mannequin challenge or your favorite attempt!

About the Session:  As serverless architectures become more popular, AWS customers need a framework of patterns to help them deploy their workloads without managing servers or operating systems.  This session introduces and describes four re-usable serverless patterns for web apps, stream processing, batch processing, and automation.  For each, we provide a TCO analysis and comparison with its server-based counterpart.  We also discuss the considerations and nuances associated with each pattern and have customers share similar experiences. The target audience is architects, system operators, and anyone looking for a better understanding of how serverless architectures can help them save money and improve their agility.
