Ever wonder which log file you should examine when troubleshooting an issue with BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management?

The new Key log files for troubleshooting topic in the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management version 4.1 online technical documentation provides a reference list of the key log files to use for troubleshooting, listed by product component.

The topic lists the various product components, such as BMC Server Automation and BMC Network Automation, and provides the names and locations of the product log files that might be of interest. The topic also provides links to additional documentation in the component product documentation spaces.

The BMC Technical Documentation team has consolidated and updated the Known and corrected issues lists for BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management 4.1 with a new table filter. You can now filter the list by category, so that the table shows only those issues that pertain to a particular component (for example, API, console, or installation). All other issues that do not pertain to the selection are hidden.

See Known and corrected issues.

You can also filter the table by:

  • The version or versions to which the issue applies
  • The version in which issues were corrected
  • The Defect ID
  • A character string in the description. For example, you could enter IBM AIX to see issues that pertain only to that platform.

If you find the table filter useful or not, let us know by rating this blog post or leaving a comment. You can also post comments on the Known and corrected issues topic in the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management 4.1 online documentation on docs.bmc.com.

The BMC Technical Documentation group has added three new end-to-end topics to the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management 4.1 online technical documentation. These new topics provide all of the relevant procedures, in sequence, for completing the following specific provisioning use cases:

These end-to-end procedural topics are designed to increase findability of the content and reduce cross-topic linking. The topics are located in the new Getting Started branch of the CLM 4.1 online technical documentation.
