With the release of BMC Server Automation version 8.8, multiple quality improvements have been made to the installation and upgrade content:

• New videos have been added to the following topics to help with the upgrade process for version 8.8!
  • Walkthrough: Upgrading to version 8.8 for Microsoft Windows

• Walkthrough: Upgrading to version 8.8 for Linux

• The upgrade content has been reorganized by upgrade method (unified product installer or component level), and then furthur sub-divided by OS platform.
• Plus, each of the following installation walkthroughs has been validated step-by-step for technical accuracy:
  • Walkthrough: Installing on Linux using the unified installer
  • Walkthrough: Installing on Windows using the unified installer
  • Walkthrough: Setting up a SQL Server database
  • Walkthrough: Creating the BladeLogic Database for Oracle
• Finally, the installation content has also been reorganized by installation method and by OS platform.

The reorganization of the install content and the upgrade content has also been back-ported to the version 8.6 and version 8.7 wiki spaces.
