I'm happy to announce a *new* platform by which to share Automation, BladeLogic, and Cloud stories with industry experts just like you. While we have a vibrant online community, one area I plan to improve upon this year is our Face-2-Face presence not only with customers of BMC, but IT Operations, Cloud and Security professionals from all walks of life and industry.

The BladeLogic Automation Hub and Meetup chapters are all about practitioners.  This is a vehicle for IT Career Enablement, Networking, and creating IT Champions.  I'm less interested in product pitches and vendor roadmaps in the first instance (but they will have a role). Instead, our goal will be to focus on Automation as a means to help build the personal brand and career of it's core constituents and practitioners.  To help someone build their brand and career is to build a champion, an advocate, a reference, and a success story.  All of this is good for the industry itself; it creates confident IT professionals who can help foster innovation in their workplace and help achieve that elusive goal of Lines of IT becoming a Profit Center and not merely a cost center.

In the spirit of helping to build the careers and personal brands of professionals in IT Operations, anyone interested in Automation, Cloud, or DevOps can become an active member of the BladeLogic Automation Hub by joining an existing group or becoming a co-organizer of a BladeLogic Meetup Chapter.

If a Meetup group does not already exist in your area and you are willing to start a new one, the best way to proceed is to contact me so that I can create it for you.  I will always agree to create a new Automation Meetup group based on geographical availability.

Before contacting me to create a new group, please take a look at our existing Meetup chapters below; it's early days as I kick this project off, so please allow some time as I build out our roster of cities world-wide.  I hope to see you all (F2F) soon!
