MainView AutoOPERATOR (MVAO) 8.2, adds new functionality with a series of Small Programming Enhancement PTFs aimed at making it easier to create and manage your automation.

With a new AutoLoad feature, it is now easier than ever to migrate your Classic Rules based automation for an entire PAS. This means you can quickly take advantage of new powerful Rules Management based automation.  Users of Continuous State Manager can also take advantage of Rules Management rules with this latest release.

Rules Management also gets new commands and updated views to simplify managing your rules.  You can now browse rules directly from the registry or from PAS storage without needing edit authority.  You can also automate rule cleanup using a new command that doesn’t require a confirmation response.

To assist with debugging your automation routines, additional information is now available for automation variables. This includes last date/time of update.

The AutoOPERATOR AOAnywhere API has a new Event Command that allows you to provide larger data elements for greater context with Events sent to BMC TrueSight Operations.

The Total Object Manager (TOM) component of AutoOPERATOR adds new user preferences that allow users to set the desired default target Definition Base and Sysplex for an object, set, and calendar-entry Deploy dialogs.
