I am delighted to let you know that MainView for CICS 6.8 and MainView for CICS Management 6.2.01 are now available. 

This new release of MainView for CICS includes many features requested by our customers including:

  • Day 1 Support for CICS TS 5.4
    • New resources such MQ Monitor
    • New values added to views
  • Monitoring WebService Usage by Task
    • See   which tasks are using Web Services
    • Show the URL of those Web Services
    • Provide the associated performance data
  • Selective Detail Recording for historical data
    • Select which transactions are recorded in detailed history
    • Continue to provide excluded transactions in monitoring
    • Record excluded tasks when they exhibit abnormal behavior 
  • Easy Navigation through the Task Performance Records
    • Change the order of history records so the most recent is first
    • Provide a logical path through the task performance records with new commands and hyperlinks

 

The new release of MainView for CICS Management includes all of the enhancements listed above as well as an Automated Facility that starts a detail trace for a running task.  Using this new feature, you can automatically collect data on poorly performing transaction as soon as the problem occurs.  This reduces the time and resources required to recreate problems in order to obtain diagnostic data.
