Ever now and then, I ask whether anyone is reading this blog. (See There's a Lurker on my Blog and Are you reading this page? The problem is that without many comments, it's hard to know whether there are many of you reading without commenting. This is a challenge that all bloggers face. And I realize that some of you don't want to register on the BMC Community for the sake of leaving a comment.


You might think that Twitter is where all the conversation happens. But a recent study shows that most tweets don't result in replies or retweets (the main way of joining the conversation). AIIM reports that Twitter, despite having a simple interface, is hard to use. Twitter, blogs, and other social media are so open-ended. Some people love this aspect. But most people want guidance. They find it easier to use enterprise software, because they can follow step-by-step procedures.
