You gain recognition on the BMC Software Developer Network (BMCDN) by posting and answering questions in the forums. You receive one point for posting a topic or reply. When your answers are marked as Helpful or Correct, you receive extra points: five points for every answer marked as Helpful and 10 points for every answer marked as Correct. You'll want to help others by marking your posts as questions so when someone answers your question, he or she receives the extra status points.
- You start out as a Participant with 0 - 30 points and one star.
- With 31 - 150 points you become an Enthusiast with two stars.
- HotShots have 151 - 500 points and three stars.
- Experts have 501 - 2500 points and four stars.
- Masters have 2501 - 5000 points and five stars.
- Gurus have 5001 - 10,000 points and six stars.
The point system works as described in BMCDN Updates Top Participants Point System.
