Registering Process ideas

I just registered today, forgot to fill some required fields, and acutally had a hard time to find them on the page (quite high page, there is a scroll bar -- and also I'm colorblind ;-).

 

Can we have a *wizard *for the registering process so that data integrity is checked step after step ?

Matt,

 

Unfortunately, a step-by-step check isn't feasible given the current technology. We'll think about the color blind problem. We will at a minimum be increasing the error font size as it is fairly small.

Having a step-by-step UI would be good for the future anyway, but the proposed fix works for now

How about making the email field large enough for other emails?  I could not use my real one as the field is too short. 

Also, how about some way to update your information once the login is created? 

The Help button does not work...

Is this site really ready for user?  Was it tested?

Ok, after a log out and back in, I found how to update the profile.  Still not finding much content on ARS...must be lacking or buried under other topics?

The email address field now allows 100 characters, which should be enough for almost anyone's email address.

Regarding the content issue, this is a new system.  Please post your questions in order to grow both your knowledge and the forums' content.
