With BMC Communities you can select both a custom profile image and an avatar for your account.

CUSTOM PROFILE IMAGE

• Browse to your profile (click on your username in the top left).
• In the "Actions" box on the right click on "Edit Profile."
• Scroll down to the box for "Your Image" and browse to your hard drive to select an image file to use for your profile.
  • Note: all profile images will be resized to 320 pixels wide. For best results, choose an image that is already close to that size.
    
  • The supported file types are:                               
    
    • BMP
    • GIF
    • JPEG
    • JPG
    • PJPEG
    • PNG
    • WBMP
• Please allow for 24-48 hours (excluding holidays and weekends) to process your request.

SELECTING AN AVATAR OR UPLOADING YOUR OWN

• Browse to your profile (click on your username in the top left).
• In the "Actions" box on the right click on "Change Avatar."
• We offer a wide selection of avatars that you can instantly use. Select any avatar by clicking on it and then browsing down and clicking on "Save Settings" (located beneath available avatars on the bottom left).
• For uploading your own:
  • Scroll down to "Upload Avatar"
  • Browse to your hard drive and select the image file you want to use as your avatar.
    • You will want to use an image that is very compact and proportional to a small box for best display results.
  • Once selected click "Upload."
  • Please allow for 24-48 hours (excluding holidays and weekends) to process your request.
  • You are allowed up to 5 custom avatars.
