Re: forums?

yes it's because you need to be always ready and not sleeping !

forums are now discussions and threads trees are not easily recognizable, not mentioning weird rss settings (f.e. try to set rss feed for sub category like devcon forums)

Re: forums?

and also funny is revalvation of points - former 10points are now 4 points and 5 now 2.. i wonder how long it will take to access current top scorers with 1000+ points..

Re: forums?

A good place to see all the forums is here:

http://communities.bmc.com/communities/main-threads.jspa

It is the Discussions option in the Browse menu on the header.  I agree that the site is very different than it was.  But I think you will find it much better after you get used to it and we finish reorganizing the content.

" i wonder how long it will take to access current top scorers with 1000+ points.."

Your so right Danis, this devnet points "system" has been fundamentally biased and flawed from the outset, I personally dont believe it actually promotes activity  and collaboration but deters it...... I am rather bored of pleading for points from one time posters who dont give them anyhow ,  just look at the pre-upgrade stats for the old devcon area, it was like a ghost town...... people who have been members of the BMC Software development community for many, many, many years are currently categorised as "novices" etc....

anyone have an answer to Danis' as to why the point values awarded have changed ?

Re: forums?

Yes, but it's not user firendly...

You can not see the forums which have been updated since last visit at the first look. You need to go to each forum individually...

Re: forums?

Yes, and some points seems to be gone...

On older BMCDN I had 1585 points and on the new BMCDN I have 756 points...

:)

Re: forums?

We recognize the point system is not working properly and we are investigating.  Give us a few days to complete content migration and determine the issue.  Thanks for your feedback on this problem.

Re: forums?

This is great feedback, but hidden in the General Forums.  I moved it to the BMCDN Feedback Forum which is now referenced from the main announcement on the homepage.
