Hi All,
I had installed BMC Performance Manager Portal Version 2.7,RSM and BMC Datastore on Operating System,
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2
Standard Edition
Service Pack 2
Configuration like,
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU
5150 @2.66GHz 2.67GHz, 3.25GB of RAM
Currently I am monitoring on a single RSM 45835 Parameters.
We are monitoring only Solaris Operating Systems and WebLogic Solution Version 9.2 is on Solaris Version
I am implementing BMC Performance Manager Portal version 2.7.50,RSM 2.7 and BMC Datastore 2.7.
I am facing following problem in Weblogic Solution Version 9.2 monitoring like,
Suddenely all weblogic servers are going offline while monitoring but after restarting Remote Service Monitor the portal showing WebLogic Servers are up and it is collecting all data,so it working fine.Again for time interval 10 to 15 hour again I am getting the same problem all weblogic servers are offiline again I am restarting RSM then it is working fine,So this kind of a problem I am getting two days back otherwise it is working fine.
So, I want to know what is the problem,it is network problem or performance issue or RSM getting load or Portal problem?
Please give me suggestion.
Thanks and Regards,
Pavan Desai
Does everything for the web servers go offline or only the weblogic stuff?.
I know there have been problems in the past with timeout problems. I would suggest best to log a call with BMC, if you haven't done so already.
Hi,
Thanks for reply, this is problem with only weblogic servers,
Thanks and Regards,

Hi Pavan
I'm sorry but you still have not made it clear, whether ALL the monitoring stops on these web server boxes for example: what about CPU usage or Memory monitoring on the web server boxes, when the weblogic monitoring stops working. This will give us an important clue as to what is wrong.
If no monitoring works on these web server boxes, then it would seem to be a problem with network communications between the RSM and the web servers, however if CPU usage is still being measured then the problem is with Weblogic and it's monitoring.
Does the monitoring fail for all web server boxes at the same time?. Do some still have monitoring information collected, whilst some fail?.
Regards
Jon
If it's only the weblogic boxes, but the others are OK, and assuming that all monitoring fails then it would suggest a network problem, are the Web servers are on their own LAN, with a firewall to the RSM?.
Have you tried adding an RSM to the network section with the webservers?
