ADDM & 64-bit OS

Greetings ADDM Enthusiasts,

Is it possible to install the ADDM application (datastore & probe) on Windows 64-bit? In the documentation it does note 32-bit, but I was curious if anyone has tried it? Any support from BMC for x64 Windows 2003 as a platform for ADDM?

Hi Jason -

I am sad to report that this does not work. Yes its been tried. Not recommended for now. BMC is working on the problem.

Thanks you for the prompt reply, very much appreciate the answer. Just out of curiosity, is this enhancement fairly low priority?

No I would not say that! x64 platforms are gaining in popularlity a fact that is recognized by BMC.

Is it possible to run ADDM on Windows Server 2008?

Yes - and the database can be SQL 2008 too
