Looking for Power Managment Service documentation for v7.2.02

We have upgraded to CM v7.2.02.004.  The Power Management Service channel is new to us and I can not find any documentation about the channel.  I have seached the 7.2 docuements and the forum around here.  I hear of some bugs with the WOW portion of the channel but that is just an aside.  If this channel has capability of setting power options on an endpoint, I want to avoid sending out this channel and finding out that the default settings within the channel cause all my desktops to go into hibernate after X hours of inactivity.

Anyone know where the docuementation to the Power Management Service channel is located.  Thanks.

Not sure this is in 7.2x docs, I have only seen notes in 7.5 (inside the policy guide)

WoW prerequisites

The motherboards of WoW target machines must support the Wake-On-

LAN (WoL) feature.

You must perform an LDAP Sync to identify member machines.

WoW seed tuners must be version 7.5 or 7.2.02 with the Power

Management Service channel (7.2.02 only).

WoW target machines and seed tuner machines must be known to the

Setting Power Options for Windows targets

The Power Options tab on the Edit Policy page allows policy-based control

of the Windows Power Options on supported Windows endpoints in which

the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) is supported.

User settings take precedence when a user changes the Power Options

properties manually on the endpoint. The Power Options settings are

reapplied only when the administrator changes a Power Options setting in

Policy Manager.

To set Power Options properties for Windows targets in Policy

Manager

1

2

Click the Power Options tab.

3

Select the Power Option properties to set for the policy.

During a policy update, these properties are pushed to the endpoint along

with the other policy items. The Policy Service first subscribes to all the

channels in the policy and then applies the tuner and channel properties.

Power management Service is introduced only from 7.5 through Subscription Manager.
