Help with SRM

Hi developers,

Someone had a manual with a step by step configuration of SRM?

I've read the official manuals of BMC, but I could not understand very well the orders of the steps that I need to follow.

Re: Help with SRM

SRM 7.6 now has the Service Request Designer, which is a simplified interface for creating and modifying Service Request Definitions. The designer provides a wizard-style interface that leads you through the process of creating an SRD. It's designed to allow a business analyst person to create an SRD by putting the various pieces together (such as the category, questions, process and approvals). If you have more permissions (e.g. SRM Administrator), the designer also lets you launch to the appropriate parts of the configuration interface to define categories and processes. Basically, if you're using SRM 7.6 the designer is a simpler way to create standard SRDs than from the Catalog Manager Console.

Re: Help with SRM

SRM is one of those areas where I strongly recommend taking the training class; it's less frustrating and gets you up to speed a lot faster than following the manuals. The manuals have all the necessary information, but there are a lot of steps to go through and the class really helps you pull it all together.

Re: Help with SRM

Hi Rodrigo,

I am not aware if there is any Document related to workshop.but there is a White Paper for Best Practices Guide for Deploying,Extending, and Customizing SRM.

http://documents.bmc.com/supportu/documents/63/60/106360/106360.pdf

Hope you can get some points out of them for your workshop.
