Creating new process from wsdl

Hi,

 

I have created a process from a wsdl. When I test the process workflow, I'm gettting an error with summary, "Web services client generation failed" . Can somebody help me out in resolving this?

Hi,

If the first line of the wsdl starts with spaces, the client generations fails. Please check if this is the case.

Isn't the wsdl file automatically generated by AO?

 

BTW, we are also experiencing the same problem.

The WSDL is generated by the 3rd party web service application. AO is just reading that 3rd party WSDL, you tell it which web service you want to execute and AO generates a workflow to be used.

Sorry I misread the question.

 

But we are getting the same error message when are trying to post a soap message via SOAPui to an AO workflow exposed as soap.

The Development Studio grid.log file (usally located here C:\Program Files\BMC Software\AO\Studio\logs) will contain an error message of why the generation failed.  Sometimes however these error message can be cryptic in nature.

 

Can you send me the WSDL file robin_elliott@bmc.com and I will have a look at it for you.

 

Also what version of Developement Studio are you using (Help \ About \ System Properties Tab \ Product Version)?

Robin,

 

Thank you for the reply. But I don't find any files in the path C:\Program Files\BMC Software\AO\Studio\logs. I'm using Development Studio version 7.5.00.00. I'll send you the wsdl in another two days time since there is a problem with my machine.

I would highly recommend you looking at the Patch Version 7.5.02.04 document date 21-Sep-2009 on the BMC support website here http://webapps.bmc.com/support/faces/prodversion.jsp?prodverseqid=171516

 

 

It will give you the FTP location of the files to upgrade to 7.5.02 Patch Release 4.

 

This may not specifically fix your current issue, but you are definitely using an "older version" of BAO that has subsequently had several functional and patch/fixes made available.  You do not have to install from scratch, you can upgrade your existing environment with 7.5.02 Patch 4.
