i have a requirement for sending TCP adapter events to multiple cells, is it possible?
i have made modifications to servername found under MCELL_HOME\etc\mclient.conf with cell1:cell2, will this work?
Bonjour, je suis absent du bureau jusqu'au 25 Octobre avec un accés limite a ma messagerie.
Cordialement.
I am out of the office on business with limited access to email until October, 25th.
In case of emergency, please contact my manager regis_mauger@bmc.com.
Best regards
You can send the events to one cell, and, using propagation policies or rules, distribute them to others. An adapter can send its events to one cell only.
BTW: Isn't there a way to suppress absent messages like the one above, which come from time to time from BMC folks?
thanks ma14pg6 for the reply. in my set up i have adapter sending to primary cell. in case primary goes down adapter should send to secondary cell up and running.
otherwise can we make some change in adapter which will start sending event to secondary cell if primary goes down and sends back an alert to adapter?
Why not run both cells as an H/A (High Availability) pair? In this case, the adapter will send its events always to a running cell (primary; if it fails, backup). Both cells must have the same KB, so the same propagation rules will apply and adapter event distribution will always occur as expected. We have a similar configuration here in our office.
this sounds good buddy.. thanks for it
