New Project - Parent Community

Hello,

Please can someone tell me why I am not able to create a project in the ''BMC AR System" Parent Community. The only option enabled is "BMC Bladelogic Scripting". This is not an appropriate selection for me.

Is it possible to merge two profiles in just only one?

Hi,

Doing an advanced search I've discovered today that I had an older profile:

- User Name: Bjorn (member since Nov 23, 2007)

- User Name: Björn (member since Oct 6, 2005) -> only one post

Is there any possibility to merge them?

How can I hide my company name in my profile?

I just joined the BMC community and as part of the registration process I was asked to provide my company name. I would like to know how to hide my company name within my profile. I see how to hide my e-mail address, but I'd also like to block my company name. Any help would be appreciated.

Last Post column does not show up entirely with new web site layout

Last Post column (forum thread overview) does not show up entirely with new web site layout.

In general, the new layout's width seems to be smaller than before, causing the bmcdn overview to be less clearly arranged (thread title on multiple lines).

Hi,

It's my first day after my holidays ... and I'm getting lost using BMCDN... what's happening?

I was used to enter into BMCDN and review all the recent content... but this section appears empty!

- where are the last/next/show all recent content (or activity) buttons gone?

- now it seems that one needs to enter in a community to see something, why?

I find BMCDN very difficult to navigate right now and also, I've a strange sensation that maybe there are posts that have been lost.

For example, where is the "Help" community now?

I've posted there at least two questions that now i'm unable to find...

And also, an old question... how can I know all the posts I've participated? Not only the discussions I've created, but also the discussions that I've answered.

This is the way I'm using to do this:

1. Enter a search criteria

It seems a must to enter something here between double quotes:

a) "Björn" doesn't works

b) I've to enter this.... "Kind Regards || "Best Regards" || "Hope"

2. Select All Communities

3. Enter Bjo... and select Bjorn

But I'm only getting 154 posts... where are the rest?

Normally, I end all my posts with strings like the one I mentioned before, buy I think it's not a good way to to this.

Maybe someone can help me with this doubts.

I seem to have lost a hundred posts off my post count , how can this be and how do I get them back please .........

+ Why is my joining date the migration date to this site rather than my devcon registration date of 2001 ? I notice that others who joined in 2001 do currently have the correct join date ?

Subscribing to Communites?

I am new to BMCDN (moving over from out virtual team email lists). Is there any way to 'subscribe' to commuities, similar to a creating a favorites list, and then see these favorites under "Your Stuff"? I realize I can add bookmarks and have RSS feeds, but having a favorites capability inside BMCDN would be useful as I am not always on my own laptop when accessing the Internet.

When I log in, I'd really like to be able to quickly access the communities I use regularly and see any new posts across those communities. For example, when I click "Your Stuff" and in that drop down list I'd like to see "My Communities" which I click and then I would see a page that shows a list of communities to which I have subscribed in a header type area and then underneath that any new posts (in all communities I have added to my favorites) since I last logged in that can be sorted by community, date, poster/submitter, etc.

Any help on getting to this feature if it already exists will be appreciated!

How can I change usernames?

I unfortunately registered with my email address as my username, which makes it both public and harvestable for spam. Can this be changed both going forward and be applied retroactively so that previous entries reflect a different (non real email) username?
